Terminal Development Program

Program Overview

The Omaha Airport Authority completed a comprehensive update to the Airport Master Plan for Eppley Airfield in October of 2014. The Master Plan developed a long-term approach to expansion and renovation of the existing terminal building based on specific levels of passenger activity at the Airport. In the subsequent years since the completion of the Master Plan in 2014, passenger activity at the Airport has increased from 1.2% growth in 2015, to 4.3% in 2016 and 6.0% in 2017. As passenger activity has increased, the Airport is nearing the trigger points defined in the Master Plan for implementing portions of the terminal expansion and renovation necessary to meet the ongoing growth in demand.

To further develop, design and construct the necessary terminal improvements, the Omaha Airport Authority plans to procure the services of a Design-Build team. In addition, the Omaha Airport Authority will be procuring the services of a Staff Augmentation firm to support the Omaha Airport Authority and its Executive Program Management team to carry out the management and oversight of the Program.

Industry Day

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018 the Omaha Airport Authority held an Industry Day to provide interested contractors, design and engineering professionals, and staff augmentation firms an outline of the upcoming business opportunities for the design and construction of, and the staff augmentation support for, the Terminal Development Program.
